A moose across our street!

Trying to take a photo of the rainbow out of window - it doesn't look as spectacular as it really was!
Sunken Bridges Meadow - where we got married!
Rafting the Colorado with the ladies
Joe and Hayley's wedding!

Oh boy - I have yet to get use to this blogging! It's been over a month since our first blog...
I think it's finally safe to say that summer is here!!!! woo hoo! We have not seen snow in a few weeks, but I have heard reports from others saying that have seen snow on July 4th in previous years! But the forecast looks good and Chris and I will be in Wisconsin for the 4th!

Chris and I just celebrated our one year wedding anniversary. We went camping up at Sunken Bridges meadow - which was our wedding ceremony site last year! It was so peaceful and relaxing. And great to know that I get the rest of my life to be with him! :)

Chris and I have both been busy trying to be outside, together or with other friends. I tried kayaking with Outdoor Divas in Golden a few weeks ago and decided I never want to do it again! But at least I tried. We've been biking and hiking and trying to get some games of disc golf in. We've been able to get on the Colorado River once or twice and have been enjoying cruising around town and having picnics or listening to music.

Check out the photos above to catch everyone up from the past month!

May 27, 2008

If you are reading this blog, then you know our story... if you don't know our story, then what you should know is that we are the luckiest people in the world. It's pretty amazing to find the person you are suppose to be with!

Life has been crazy, in a rather good way, the past month or so. We took our belated honeymoon to Mexico in April where we had a ton of fun surfing, sleeping in our straw roof bungalow right on the beach, horseback riding and enjoying the sun...

Five days after arriving back from Mexico, we took off to Seattle to visit some dear friends who use to live in Winter Park. It was a rather short yet sweet weekend. We were able to celebrate Keith's 40th birthday and see beautiful Seattle! It was too much fun!
This is us, being silly, in some tulip fields with Keith and Lisl!

The next weekend, Meredith went off to Chicago to spend the weekend with her mom - shopping (of course!), having a yummy mother's day brunch and seeing a Cubs game!
Meredith's dad then came to visit this past weekend, where we took him to see a Rockies game with Chris' mom. We visited the sweet shop in Empire, taught Meredith's dad how to play disc golf and visited Red Rocks.
Left: Us at the sweet shop. I had to take a picture with the pig - it reminded me of when we stole the hog roast pig during a cross country meet in college!

Us at the Rockies game below....

There's the catch up of our recent lives. I swear we have plans almost every weekend until middle of July - including my weekend with my girlies when we will attempt to hike a 14er! I CAN'T WAIT!
